The Cake Gallery is led by owner (27 years) wedding cake expert, and marketing pro, Edward Otto. He provides the creative vision and direction for our wedding cakes and the all occasion cakes. He is backed by an experienced management team who also design and decorate wedding cakes. In the 40 years we have been in business, we feel honored for having served cakes to 3 US presidents and several high ranking politicians. In addition, we have created cakes for TV commercials, rock stars, movie stars, and sports figures. We have flown wedding cakes to London and Los Angeles. The four following photos and articles are taken from the Omaha World Herald’s Wedding Essentials Magazine. The photo to the upper right is from their Spring-Summer 2008 issue. It shows our wedding cake titled “Rings of Eternity.” The photo to your left is from the same issue discussing trends in wedding cakes for 2008 and 2009. The article talks about the mini-tier, the use of strawberries, personalization, bright colors, cupcakes, themes, personality, and dress type. The photo directly below titled, ”Two Shall Become One” is also included in the Spring Summer 2008 issue. It is an article that gives advice on the time-table to order a cake. In the piece, Mr. Otto tells the bride to make a deposit on her wedding cake as soon as she decides on the baker/designer of her choice. “You can always go back months later to fill out the rest of the order, but if you wait, you can’t always get the baker/designer of your choice.”

The bride wanted a replica of a wedding cake shown in People magazine for the son of TV star Dr. Phil. As quoted directly from the article, “They (The Cake Gallery) were confident from the get-go when they reviewed the recipe and made it all come together,” she said. “I was very pleased. Ed (Otto) was wonderful to work with.” The white chocolate and almond raspberry torte cake with a white- chocolate exterior that resembled candy corn in texture and flavor was a huge hit with the guests. They were amazed with the appearance and remarked, “Have you seen that cake? You have to check out the wedding cake. It’s a work of art,” Gillett-Howell said.
